Accessibility Statement

Effective date

Governing entity

Beg.com Inc.

Document

A11Y-GLOBAL-2026.09

This document forms part of the binding legal framework for the Beg.com Platform. Please read it carefully. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms as updated from time to time.

1. Commitment

beg Inc. ("beg") is committed to providing a Platform that is accessible to people with disabilities and usable by the widest possible global audience. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing programme of design, engineering, content, and support—not a one-time compliance exercise.

We seek to align with internationally recognised standards and with applicable accessibility obligations in the jurisdictions where we operate, including principles reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and regional frameworks such as the European Accessibility Act where relevant to our services.

2. Conformance target

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA (and successor guidance as reasonably adopted). We also consider WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a baseline for legacy surfaces during progressive enhancement.

Status: partially conformant. Some content and third-party components may not yet fully meet all success criteria; we prioritise remediation affecting core user journeys.

3. Scope

This Statement applies to the public beg website and authenticated Platform experiences we control, including:

  • campaign discovery, viewing, and sharing;
  • account registration, authentication, and dashboard flows;
  • donation initiation and confirmation pages operated by beg;
  • organiser campaign creation and payout request interfaces;
  • legal, privacy, and preference centres linked from the Platform footer.

4. Measures to support accessibility

  • Semantic HTML structure and meaningful heading hierarchy;
  • Keyboard operability for primary navigation and form controls;
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements;
  • Colour contrast targets consistent with WCAG AA for standard text and controls;
  • Accessible names/labels for buttons, form fields, and icon-only controls (including ARIA where appropriate);
  • Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and common assistive technologies;
  • Alternative text for meaningful images where supplied by beg or provided by organisers.

5. Known limitations

We recognise the following limitations and are working to reduce them:

  • User-generated content: campaign images, videos, and text uploaded by organisers may lack captions, transcripts, or adequate alternative text;
  • Third-party checkout: payment forms embedded or hosted by processors (such as Stripe) are governed by those providers’ accessibility practices;
  • Live activity indicators: real-time presence and funding updates may present dynamic content that requires careful announcement strategies for screen-reader users.

Organisers are encouraged to publish accessible media and clear language when creating campaigns.

6. Feedback, assistance, and response times

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact accessibility@beg.com. Include:

  • the page URL;
  • a description of the issue and the assistive technology used (if any);
  • your preferred contact method and, where helpful, screenshots.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five (5) business days and to provide a substantive update or remediation plan within a reasonable period based on severity. Users who cannot complete a critical flow due to an accessibility barrier may request reasonable assistance through the same channel.

7. Assessment approach

beg evaluates accessibility through a combination of:

  • automated scanning in development and release workflows;
  • manual keyboard and screen-reader spot checks on primary journeys;
  • review of design system components for contrast, focus, and labelling;
  • user reports and periodic audits of high-traffic pages.

Priority remediation focuses on account creation, campaign discovery, donations, and payout requests.

8. Compatibility

The Platform is designed to function with current major browsers and common assistive technologies. Older browsers or uncommon configurations may experience reduced functionality. We recommend keeping browsers and assistive tools up to date.

9. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to legal@beg.com. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to raise concerns with a relevant equality, disability, or data-protection authority.

10. Updates to this Statement

This Accessibility Statement is reviewed periodically and updated when our services, standards targets, or remediation status materially change. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
